I love a good game of cricket. Today was the final game of the 2019 World Cup at Lord’s, between New Zealand and England. Both teams tied at 241 runs and it was decided that they would enter a super over to decide the winner. Both teams scored 15 runs in the super over and were tied again. However, England won the World Cup because they had scored more boundaries in the overall match. Congrats England, well played.
I wrestled with a lot of sad emotions for New Zealand and even shed a few tears, because NZ had technically won, but for reasons beyond their immediate control they had to give up the trophy. Happens to some of us in life too, yes?
Here is all I have to say to Team NZ:
You have no choices about how you lose, but you do have a choice about how you come back and prepare to win again.
