I was walking my usual route today. Many trucks follow this route and the speed limit for trucks is way lower than that of the other vehicles. We all know that the slowest of drivers pick the right lane as do trucks. A car driver was driving at speed limit and this probably bothered the truck driver who moved to the adjacent lane in order to over take the car, and then got ahead of the car.
All this maneuvering seemed extremely dangerous and I was wondering how that truck driver had broken all written and unwritten rules and had gotten away. I thought to myself that in life also, people say or do nasty things to others and get away with it sometimes. That is so not fair I muttered under my breath. Waves of anger rose and crashed in my head only to rise higher than before. I was fuming as I made my U turn to come back. My eyes were flashing red and smoke was coming out of my ears – trust me!
I got out of my head to focus on the road and what did I notice in the distance? A cop with his flashing lights was signalling the truck to pull over. I don’t think we need to go into the details of what happened next.
So, for some of you out there, do not worry if someone got away with something and you were left standing with your tongue tied or like a snow(o)man.
